Abuja - The Abuja Police Command said that the rumour of a bomb scare making the rounds in the Federal Capital Territory was untrue, Vanguard reports.
There was panic in Nyanya, in the Federal Capital Territory on Thursday, as residents and motorists took to their heels on sighting an abandoned Peugeot 406 car which they thought was laden with explosives.

The police officer said that soldiers had asked the men of the Federal Road Safety Corps to remove the car from the area to douse tension.
The driver of the car was said to have left in a hurry after parking the car which raised suspicion from passers-by.
