Ogun - The Ogun Police Command said it recovered 122 stolen and abandoned vehicles and 568 arms and ammunition across the state between January and July.
The Command’s spokesperson, Mr Muyiwa Adejobi, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abeokuta on Wednesday that the command also arrested 198 suspected robbers.
He said that 1,317 suspects were also arrested in the state for various offences during the period under review, ddinga that 469 of the cases had been charged to court.
``In addition, we have also arrested 29 suspected cultists, 10 suspected kidnappers and seven suspected rapists.
``The Commissioner of Police, Mr Ikemefuna Okoye, apart from partnering with members of the public on crime control and management, sometimes lead patrols to ensure that we effectively police the state.
``All that needs to be done shall be done, we are leaving no stone unturned,'' Adejobi, an ASP said.
The PPRO also said that all the Divisional Police Officers sand Area Commanders had been placed on red alert to ensure adequate security of lives and property in their respective territories.
Adejobi also disclosed that property worth about N86.2 million were recovered within the period.
