Enugu - Enugu State Police Command, have promised adequate security for residents of the state during the celebration Nigeria's 55th Independence.
Mr Ebere Amaraizu, the state Police Public Relations Officer, gave the promise on Tuesday in Enugu in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He said that the command had mobilised its officers and men to ensure that nobody or group of persons create disturbance during the celebration.
"The command also has intensified patrols and surveillance along the highways within the state and its environs by reinvigorating the activities of the safe Highway Unit of the command,” he said.
The police spokesman told NAN that the campaign against cultism and other vices in the state had been intensified to achieve peace and security during the celebration.
He urged the citizens to go about their businesses without fear, adding that the police would give them adequate protection.
