Abuja - The military killed ten suspected Boko Haram terrorists and destroyed two camps belonging to the insurgents during an air strike in Mada in the Konduga region in Borno State.
The law enforcement agents recovered an assortment of weapons including and some AK47 rifles, magazines and rounds of ammunition.
Ten motorcycles belonging to the sect members were destroyed during the raid.
A soldier was injured during the exercise.
"Following air strike and subsequent destruction of two Boko Haram terrorist camps at Mada, Konduga local government area of Borno state some troops of 231 battalion of 7 Division on their way to Biu had an encounter with fleeing members of Boko Haram terrorists on Maiduguri/Damboa road.
"Ten terrorists were killed," military spokesman Lt. Col. Sagir Musa, stated.
