Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan is to perform the groundbreaking of 10 new districts to jump-start development in the designated areas.
The groundbreaking, scheduled for January 8, is aimed at eradicating land speculation, freezing and racketeering in Federal Capital Territory, Daily Times reports.
In addition, the move is aimed at reducing the housing deficit within the area.

Revealed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Bala Mohammed, the groundbreaking forms part of the Abuja Land Swap Initiative.
Mohammed further announced the conclusion of arrangements for the President to also officially flag-off the multi-billion Naira Jabi Lake Resort, which is reported as being executed by the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP).
