Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan has mourned the passing of Prophet Gabriel Olubunmi Fakeye, the spiritual leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church.
According to a statement by Reuben Abati, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, President Jonathan extends heartfelt condolences to Prophet Fakeye's family, members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church and the Christian community in Nigeria on the demise of the figure he hailed as a great servant of God.
Abati added that the President joined them in mourning the revered spiritual leader who greatly inspired and motivated his followers and other Nigerians with his vibrant elucidation of the Word of God as well as his exemplary lifestyle and moral conduct.

The President prays that Almighty God will grant Prophet Fakeye's soul eternal rest. He also prays that God Almighty will comfort members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, and place the mantle of the Church's spiritual leadership on a worthy successor to the late Prophet Fakeye.
Fakeye passed on aged 78 from an undisclosed ailment.
