Bauchi - The National Association Proprietors of Private Schools in Bauchi State has supported the new September 22 resumption date for primary and secondary schools in the country, Vanguard reports.
President of the association, Austin Losa, while reacting to threat by the Nigerian Union of Teachers, NUT, to embark on strike over the resumption date, said instead of keeping students at home, schools should adopt preventive measures against the deadly Ebola Virus Disease (EVD).

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday defended the September 22 school resumption date, saying there was currently no case of the disease in the country to warrant extension of the holiday.
