Abuja - The House of Representatives has accused the federal government of spending N16 trillion on its super offices yearly, while the entire country is given a budget of about N4 trillion, Punch reports.
The House Public Accounts Committee said while the federal government complains of revenue for key projects, the same government has allowed dozens of powerful offices, graded as “statutory and extra-ministerial departments” to spend a minimum of N16 trillion yearly.

He added that his committee found out that these other agencies not captured in the regular budget, generated and spent their money as it pleased them without seeking the approval of the National Assembly.
The lawmaker put the budget of these other bodies at over N16tn.
