Reps to amend penal code over pension scam

Abuja - The House said it would review the penal codes, cited in the ruling that freed a former pension boss convicted of a N2bn police pension funds scam, Premium Times reports.

An Abuja High Court on Monday offered an option of N250 000 fine in lieu of a two year sentence on each of a three-count charge Mr. Yusuf, a former assistant director in the police pension office, pleaded guilty to .

Mr. Yusuf regained his freedom after paying the sum.
