Rivers - Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, said his administration had completed more than 70 kilometers of township roads in the state.
This follows his ascension to the post earlier this year.
These have been completed in Port Harcourt, Obio / Akpor, Ikwerre , Eleme and Oyigbo Local Government areas of the state, he said.
Wike said that the road reconstruction revolution of his administration is aimed at the improvement of the state's economy.

He expressed satisfaction with the pace of the road construction in the state, noting that the state government will complete key roads in all the adjoining local government areas to the State capital.
“We are interested in infrastructural development because these roads drive the economy. We have engaged in the total revolution of the road infrastructure for the overall growth of the state,” he said after inspecting Industry and Nigeria Port Authority (NPA) Road and Borokiri Roads in Port Harcourt, the state capital city.
“One can see the joy on the faces of the people during today’s inspection visits to industry road and Borokiri. One can see that the people are happy with the government for the revolution in the road infrastructure sector.”
Wike stated that the administration had embarked on key projects in housing, education, environmental and agricultural sectors in the last two months.
