Lagos - The People’s Democratic Party (PDP)
has lauded Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, for providing affordable housing
people in the state.
Rivers PDP Chairman, Felix Obuah, said residents had thus
received a new lease of life.
This follows the commissioning of 50 lower-high income
houses at Iriebe in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state recently.
The project is part of activities marking 100 days in
office of the present administration in the state.
Obuah noted that the project was part of the numerous
welfare packages promised the people during the electioneering campaign by the

He thus thanked Wike for not disappointing the party but
working tirelessly in accomplishing the housing project and other
infrastructural development projects in Port Harcourt, the capital of the
state, and environs.
Obuah, while calling on all those that will benefit in
the allocation of the facilities to maintain them, also urged the people to
return such action of the governor by remaining supportive and peaceful.
He further assured the people of the state that the
visible development efforts of the governor were “a tip of the iceberg” as the
entire state would be revamped in the areas of human and infrastructural
“In the coming days more development projects
that have direct bearing on the lives of the people and the state will be
commissioned by the PDP-led Government in the state,” Obuah assured.
