Abuja - The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has commended the Judiciary after it ruled in its favour on the issue of number plates and drivers' licences.
The agency said the courts had provided a clear interpretation of the existing laws as well as validating the statutory powers of the FRSC to deliver on its goals and expectations of Nigerians on motor vehicle administration.

According to a statement signed by Stella Uchegbu, Corps Commander Corps Public Education Officer, and Chief Executive, Boboye Oyeyemi, FRSC expressed satisfaction with the judgment and enjoined motorists to comply with the law.
The Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos on Friday delivered judgment in favor of the FRSC, upholding the commission’s legal powers to set deadlines for motorists to change over to the new vehicle number plate and drivers’ license.
