Abuja - Armed robbers have attacked Bargaja village in the Isa local government area in Sokoto State and made away with unspecified amounts of money.
Umar Mohammed, the chairman of the local council said the gun-totting robbers, numbering about 30, besieged the village early on Friday aboard motorcycles.
He added that the robbers attacked about ten homesteads, carting away various amounts of money in an operation that luckily had no casualties.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Al-Mustapha Sani confirmed the incident.
He nonetheless said police had not yet made any arrests
Sani appealed to the people of the area to report all suspicious persons or groups. He called on residents to assist the police and other security agencies with useful information that could lead to arrests and fight crime in the area.
