Johannesburg - The President of South Africa has been the first confirmed to attend the inauguration of Muhammadu Buhari.
The South African Presidency confirmed on Thursday Jacob Zuma would attend the event scheduled for the end of May.
“President Zuma will attend the inauguration of the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, General Muhammadu Buhari, next month,” Zuma’s spokesperson, Mac Maharaj, said.

Buhari will be inaugurated on May 29 in Abuja.
This follows his victory over incumbent, Goodluck Jonathan, in the Presidential election held on March 28/29.
