include social ills in their curricular in order to eliminate the menace of
The suggestions by the All Progressives Congress United
States International Secretariat follow the incessant attacks by the Boko Haram
Among the latest attacks were carried out in Kuje and
Nyanya in the Federal Capital Territory this past weekend.
“It is mandatory to empower security operatives with
latest security gadgets, early warning signs and facts finding for confidence
and performance increment.
"And time for schools and institutions to include
social ills in their curricular, such as bomb blasts and terrorism,” Francis
John, APC USA International Secretariat Coordinator, said.

He said stakeholders must “vehemently” use news and
electronic media, including social media in educating the general populace all
John said the organisation encouraged volunteerism after
prospective personnel passed intensive security and background checks.
“To be in good standing, checks must be performed at
least every quarter, including performance appraisals.”
Last year two incidents were recorded at Nyanya and Kuje
Market Area, adjacent a police station.
John said the attack late Friday was the third to be
recorded in Nyanya.
“Some lapses trigger for thorough investigations, as to
which security operatives were assigned to the location, eye witnesses,
passer-by and residents.”
