Abuja - Deputy Chairman of the Barkin Ladi Local
Government Area of Plateau State, Zakka Gyang, has blamed the Special Task
Force (STF) for the latest attacks and killings in the area.
He was speaking in the area during a visit by the state leadership of the
People's Democratic Party (PDP),
Gyang said the security agencies have failed in their responsibility of
protecting lives and properties of the people.
He alleged that some members of the STF are strongly involved in the attacks
and called on the federal and state government to investigate and ascertain the
allegations so that those involved in the act would be brought to book.
He thanked the flagbearer for the visit and show of love.

"At this trying moment, said some people are desperate to return the state
to its dark old days," he added.
PDP Senator Gyang Nyam Pwajok, who was represented by his deputy, Yilji
Gomwalk, said he was in the council to sympathise with the people of Barkin
Ladi Local Government Area and the families of those that lost their lives
during the attacks by unknown gunmen early this week.
The attacks which claimed at least 12 lives.
Gomwalk described the killings as barbaric and wicked and assured them that
government at all levels are doing everything possible to expose the
perpetrators of such devilish acts.
He donated undisclosed amounts of cash to the affected families.
