Security guard arrested for defiling a 7-year-old girl

Lagos - A security guard attached to DammyVille Montessori School on Falolu road off Akerele, in the Surulere area Lagos State, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly defiling a 7-year-old girl in the area.

The victim was allegedly abducted by the suspect, who was recently hired by the school authorities, around 9am on Saturday.

She was said to be on errand to a kiosk close to the school when the security guard grabbed and had carnal knowledge of her for hours.

The suspect later released her, after threatening to kill her with a knife, warning her not to disclose the incident to anyone.

A roasted plantain seller on the street who knew the girl alerted the public after the girl emerged from the school looking suspicious.

On interrogation, the victim narrated her ordeal to the plantain seller and the security guard was subsequently arrested.

The girl has been taken to the hospital for treatment while the guard remains in police custody.

This is coming days after a part-time lecturer of the University of Lagos was arrested for allegedly raping an 18-year-old admission seeker in the school premises.
