Abuja - The spotlight will today be on the Senate where the list of ministerial nominees recently submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari will be disclosed.

Buhari forwarded the list to the Senate President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki, recently, months after both officials' election as the respective Presidents.

The list was submitted last week in a sealed envelope by Chief of Staff to the President, Alhaji Abba Kyari and Senator Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Legislative Matters for Senate.

The Senate President, through, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, promised to unveil the list during the plenary sitting which normally commences by 10h00.

“Saraki following the tradition of the Senate, decided that the envelope will remain sealed till Tuesday October 6, when during the plenary sitting of the Upper legislative chamber, it will be opened and the list read to Senators,” Olaniyonu said.

Since the list was submitted last, there has been some speculation about the names on the list.
