Abuja - The Senate, through its committee on Federal Character and Intergovernmental Affairs, has recommended the reduction of the costs of the new number plate and driver's license, The Nation gathers.
To this end, the Senate proposed that the new plates be sold for N8,400, as against the earlier cost of N15,000. Also, the new driver's license was pegged at N4000 from the initial cost of N6,000.
Other sundry charges for vehicle registration, especially by the Vehicle Inspectorate Office (VIO), were also reviewed.
