Abuja – The Senate has condemned the recent
bombing of a Kogi radio station that left four workers dead.

The issue was brought to plenary on Wednesday through point of
order by Senator Nuruden Abatomi Usman, representing Kogi Central at the upper
chamber of the National Assembly.
“I want to notify the Senate and the entire Nigerians that
the only means of public enlightenment in Kogi central Tao radion stations was
bombed on Monday. The radio station is the only source of informations in the
area,” Usman said.
He added that the people of the area have resolved to
contribute money and assist in the rebuilding of the station.
In his remark, the Senate President, David Mark, said all
the senators condemned the bombing of the radio station.
“We have been condemning all act of terrorism and we also
condemned the bombing of Tao radio station in Okene Kogi State” Mark said.
Although no group has claimed responsibility for the
bombing, it is feared the Islamic militant Boko Haram group bombed the station.
