Bauchi - Six people were reported killed when soldiers invaded Mundu village in Bauchi State in pursuit of suspected Boko Haram insurgents, Premium Times reports.
The deceased were said to have been shot dead by the military officials who arrived the village, situated within the Lame-Burra forest reserve, on Saturday in a convoy of about 20 vehicles.

Residents said the soldiers also burnt houses, shops, grain silos and other structures belonging to the villagers while several villagers left their residences to seek refuge in neighbouring villages.
Allegations of widespread torture and killings against the military has gotten worse since the declaration of a State of Emergency following its war against Boko Haram insurgents in the North Eastern part of the country.
