Ekiti- Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has described as mystery, the defeat of the outgoing Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, in the June 21 governorship election in the state, Punch reports.
Soyinka stated that the loss is incomprehensible looking at the developmental and legacy projects the governor had executed in the state prior to the elections.

He said the said the All Progressives Congress, (APC) on whose platform the governor vied for the governorship seat, is the only party that can unravel the mystery behind the loss.
Governor-elect, Ayodele Fayose pulled a total of 203 090 votes to defeat other candidates who participated in the exercise including incumbent governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi who had 120 433 votes.
