Abuja - The nation may be in for dark days as striking oil and gas workers have cut off gas supply to five major thermal plants in the country,, reports New Telegraph.

The affected power stations include Egbin, Olorunsogo, Geregu and Sapele.
The striking workers have also shutdown the operations of the four refineries.
Minister of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo in a statement in Abuja on Thursday admitted that the strike action of the oil workers on gas supply to the power plants was massive.
He appealed to the striking workers to call off the industrial action in the interest of the nation.
