Osun - The leadership of the Student Union Government of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, has suspended its President, Omotayo Akande, Punch reports.
Akande was suspended from office for allegedly seeking N650 000 from the authorities to attend a conference in New York, United States of America.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Student Representative Council comprising the SUG Speaker, Adebari Adedayo; Clerk of the House, Ogunkanmi Omotayo; and Deputy Speaker, Olowofoyehan Oluseun, on Monday.
The suspension is to last for one month.
