Sokoto - Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has dissolved the governing boards of government parastatals, agencies and departments.
The governor’s spokesperson, Imam Imam, confirmed the development in Sokoto on Friday.
He said the dissolution would not affect agencies whose tenures were guaranteed by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria or existing laws of the Sokoto State Government.

“In line with established tradition and precedents, and with the coming into office of the new administration in Sokoto State, members of the public are hereby notified that all governing boards of government departments, agencies and parastatals, except those whose tenures are guaranteed by the Constitution and the extant Laws, do hereby stand dissolved,” Imam said.
According to Imam, the state government expressed gratitude to all individuals for the services rendered to the state during their tenure.
Government urged the accounting officers in the affected establishment to ensure proper handing over of government offices and properties.
