Abuja - The Taraba State Government has condemned the recent armed robbery attacked on a branch of First Generation Bank and Divisional Police headquarters in the Karim-Lamido local government area.
Speaking to CAJ News, the chief press secretary to the acting state governor, Kefas Sule, described the incident as an unfortunate development.
He said the state government was worried the attacks occurred despite the high level of security in the state.
Sule said such was the seriousness of the robberies that the Acting State Governor, Garba Umar, cut short his official engagements in Abuja to attend to the issue personally.
He said the state police command was investigating the attacks and arrests would be made soon.
Armed men stormed Karim-Lamido town Friday evening and attacked the bank and the police station.
It could not be ascertained how much was stolen but there were no casualties.
