Abuja - Imo state police shot and killed three suspected Boko Haram bandits who allegedly kidnapped an elderly man.
Deputy Public Relations Officer, Elvis Abanga, confirmed another suspect was seriously wounded as police opened fire on the suspects.
Two AK 47 rifles, a shotgun and live ammunition were recovered from the gang.
Police managed to rescue 72-year-old Emmanuel Ujagba, who was recently reported missing.
In another development, four expatriates that were abducted off the coast of Bayelsa in April have been rescued.
According to the River State Police Public Relations Officer, Angela Agabe, the expatriates from Russia and Ukraine were rescued over the weekend.
No arrests were made but investigations continue.
