Abuja - The Code of Conduct Tribunal has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of six Adamawa local government sole administrators for failing to appear before it.
This is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by Ibrahim Al-Hassan, Head of Press and Public Relations unit of the tribunal.
It said that the chairman, Justice Danladi Umar, ordered the tribunal’s Adamawa office to assist the Police Commissioner in the state in arresting and arraigning the administrator on the next adjourned date of December 4.
It said the administrators failed to appear before the tribunal to face charges of non-declaration of assets.
"The tribunal views this as lack of seriousness on the part of the accused, disobedience to the summons issued and disrespect for the tribunal.’’
The affected administrators are Aliyu Ahmed Gaya of Gaya/Garaha Development Area, Ahmed Yero of Nassarawa-Jereng Development Area and Sule Duhu of Shuwa Development Area.
The others are Irimiya Levi (Borrong Development Area), Dennis Kakaba (Bidoma Development Area) and Ishiyaku Kawunyara (Yola West Development Area).
