Enugu - An Enugu Federal High Court has sentenced two drug traffickers, Okafor Chidinma and Iheme Onyemauchechukwu, to forty and fifteen years in prison respectively, Premium Times reports.
The duo were arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu state.
The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Ahmadu Giade, said Chidinma, a professional dancer, was charged for conspiracy, trafficking and unlawful possession of 3.450kg of amphetamine while Onyemauchechukwu was charged with trafficking and unlawful importation of 9.975kg of heroin.

Chidinma was convicted as charged and sentenced to 10 years each in count one and count two and 20 years in count three, making it a total of 40 years.
Giade, in a statement signed by the agency’s spokesperson, Ofoyeju Mitchell, expressed satisfaction with the judgment.
