Lagos - Students of the University of Lagos shut the university’s two exit gates, to protest what they described as the invasion of bedbugs and mosquitoes in their hostels.
The protest by the irate students which began as early as 7am, led to a hectic traffic snarl within and around the university community.

The students earlier in the month also protested the death of one of their colleagues, identified as Oluchi Anekwe, who was electrocuted on her way to her room in Sodeinde Residence, New Hall on the campus.
