During her visit, she will also meet with Government of Nigeria officials and civil society to discuss the country’s upcoming 2015 elections.

The Assistant Secretary will also meet with recently returned Mandela Washington Fellowship alumni from President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI).

Her visit to Nigeria comes amid terror attacks blamed on the Boko Haram sect, political tensions ahead of the next general election and the Ebola virus outbreak.
