Lagos - The Government of United States pledged to advance its partnership with the Nigeria Police in the area of training.
James Entwistle, the US Ambassador to Nigeria, made the pledge when he paid a courtesy call on the Inspector-General of Police, Suleiman Abba at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The US Ambassador posited that the visit was in recognition of the professional performance exhibited by officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force in the just concluded 2015 general elections.

He used the occasion to assure the IGP of US Government resolve to partner more with the Police in area of training,² Emmanuel Ojukwu, Force Public Relations Officer said after the meeting at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
Entwistle commended the Force.
IGP in his response thanked the visiting Ambassador and his team and assured them that this commendation will motivate officers and men of the Force in ensuring the delivery of world class security services in Nigeria, Ojukwu said.
