Lagos - Leader of the United States Embassy delegation that has paid a familiarization visit to the newly established Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC), Steve Vestel, is confident the centre will play an invaluable role in Nigeria.
The delegation has toured the CCC headquarters in Jabi, Abuja where Vestel also expressed the embassy’s readiness to explore areas of collaboration with the Centre with a view to assisting it achieve the set objectives.
He took the opportunity to congratulate Air Commodore Yusuf Anas (Rtd) on his appointment as the Executive Secretary of the centre.

Anas thanked the US Embassy officials for the visit.
He enumerated the role which the centre is set to play including providing coordinated platform for early warning alerts on crisis, timely response to crisis situation and awareness campaigns on crisis prevention, mitigation and management.
The centre, which is a non-governmental organisation, will be engaged in research and publication of crisis information management in Nigeria.
