Lagos - The Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of the
Lagos State University, Dr Idris Adekunle, has admitted that none of the unions
in the institution is on strike, DailyIndependent reported.
According to Adekunle, lectures of the university and other
workers are going on with their normal activities and the gates of the
institution will remain closed until an acting vice chancellor is appointed.

Lectures are not striking but wanting their demands and that
is for the university to get a new vice chancellor, other than that, the
institution is proceeding it's duties.
Staff members cannot work with the current vice chancellor,
John Obafunwa and is not allowed to enter the campus until their grievances are
