Ibadan - Mr Akeem Emiola, Public Relations Officer, Bodija Market Association, Ibadan, has appealed to the Ibadan North Local Government to provide the market with basic amenities.
Emiola made the call in an interview on Sunday in Ibadan.
He said the market lacked amenities such as fire service station, street lights and trailer parks.

He said although the market was well planned at its inception in 1987, shops had taken over the allotted spaces for social amenities.
The spokesperson also bemoaned the state of darkness at the market at night and urged the local government to provide street lights within the market.
“Apart from about 10-solar powered lights constructed by a politician recently, the market needs up to 50 street lights across its length and breadth,” he said.
