Wike warns against pro-biafra protests

22 October 2015, 10:24

Rivers - Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has condemned the protests by members of pro-Biafra groups in the state, Punch reports.

The governor warned that he will not condone a repeat of such protests in the state, stressing the indivisibility of Nigeria and added that the actions of the protesters were capable of stimulating chaos in the state.

The governor’s warning came on the heels of a massive protest the members of a self-determination group, the Indigenous People of Biafra, whose protest paralysed socio-economic activities in Port Harcourt, on Tuesday.

Men of the Rivers Police Command on Tuesday clashed with the protesting members of the group in Port-Harcourt on Tuesday.
