Lagos - A woman has been found dead after being strangled and mutilated by unknown assailants, Punch reports.
The corpse, found abandoned in front of a shop in the Ketu Area of Lagos State, is said to have been discovered with private parts removed.
Abayomi Odegbami, a resident, said that the victim was known in the area and often slept in one of the shops.

Although the incident is believed to have occurred on Saturday night, emergency officials only arrived on Monday afternoon to remove the body.
Police Public Relations Officer Kenneth Nwosu confirmed the incident but denied that the corpse was missing a body part, as speculated by residents within the area.
