Borno - Some women of Attagara and Kawuri villages in Gwoza and Bama local government areas of Borno State, respectively, foiled an attempt by Boko Haram members to attack their villages, Vanguard reports.
The insurgents were said to have arrived at the villages on Monday, but all effort to invade the villages was resisted by some women who stood their ground and alerted other residents of the communities.
Seven members of the sect were arrested and lynched by the villagers while three others escaped according to an eyewitness account.
