Zamfara - Zamfara House of Assembly has set up a committee to investigate the state’s Pilgrims Welfare Agency over last year's Hajj scandal.
The Speaker of the House, Sanusi Rikiji, said the committee would investigate the number of visas issued, the hajj seat allocated to the pilgrims, and the distribution process.
The committee was given three days to submit its report.
It will be recalled that the Assembly received similar report recently on last year's hajj covering the 14 local government areas of the state.
The committee is headed by Abubakar Gummi, the deputy speaker of the Assembly.
