Abuja - The challenges Abia State Governor,
Okezie Ikpeazu, has encountered have not dampened his commitment to develop the
state but have inspired him, his spokesperson said.
“What should have caused a low morale and dampen the spirit
of a leader has rather come to be an inspirational obsession for Governor
Ikpeazu,” Godwin Adindu Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, said.
Adindu said the governor’s passion for service to Abia people
had remained unshaken and unwavering.
“It will remain so,” he said.
The sentiments follow last month’s invalidation of Ikpeazu’s
election in the governorship polls last year.

The appeal courts declared Alex Otti of the All Progressives
Grand Alliance as the validly elected candidate.
Ikpeazu is appealing the ruling.
Within his People’s Democratic Party (PDP) some members
opposed his standing in the governorship poll alleging irregularities during
