Lagos – Residents of coastal communities of Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State were reportedly left scampering for safety following an oil pipeline explosion at Agip Oil Company.
According to Punch, suspected militants were blamed for the blast.
In a statement, Bayelsa State House of Assembly member representing Brass Constituency 1, Israel Sunny-Goli, said the bombing was an act of sabotage carried out to hurt the economic interests of Bayelsa state and Nigeria.
