Jos - Local agency, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has
expressed the notion of banning local brew 'goskolo' from being produced in
Plateau, Pulse reported.
The Plateau government has been told to enact a law that
bans the local brew due to devastating effects it has on the youth of the
state, who after they have consumed it become destructive.

The State Commander of NDLEA, Dr Ngozi Madubuike, lamented
that most of the youth had problems with their livers because of the effects of
the brew and also due the acidic nature of it.
Madabuike expressed that a state law needs to be put in
measure to curb the consumption of the local brew.
Government has been called to sensitise people on the
dangerous consequences of consuming 'goskolo'.
