Abuja - Major Hamza Al-Mustapha who is the former chief security officer to the late General Sani Abacha has revealed that he knows the forces responsible for the death of his former boss and the late widely presumed winner of the 1993 presidential election, Moshood Abiola.
Leadership reports that Al-Mustapha who spoke in Lagos on Monday, also said he was disappointed with the media coverage on money Abacha kept in other countries.
He said that General Sani Abacha served this country for four years and seven months and during that period, he stepped on many toes. Aside the two or three coup plots that were made known to the public, there were several others that were not made known.
He asked Nigerians to give him time to get through his court cases first before he revealed the forces behind the death of Abacha and Moshood Abiola.
It would be recalled that General Sanni Abacha died June 8 1998 following a heart attack while Moshood Abiola died 7 July 1998 after being denied victory when the entire election results were dubiously annulled by the preceding military president Ibrahim Babangida because of alleged evidence that they were corrupt and unfair according to Wikipedia.
