29 April 2016, 19:45

Lagos - Governor Akinwunmi Ambode paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House where he praised the President's recent overseas trips aimed at attracting foreign investments.

Speaking at the State House, Ambode said that he believes these overtures by the president would soon reap rewards for Nigeria.

He added that the investment pact signed with the Chinese Government will benefit Nigeria as well as Lagos. This comes at a time when President Buhari finds himself under increasing scrutiny as foreign investment has been dwindling.

The Naira has also been struggling against the dollar and other foreign currencies.

Buhari on his recent return from China confirmed that he has signed a series of investment pacts expected to yield 6 Billion dollars.

Ambode concluded that his visit was to support the president and to praise his efforts for what he has done for the country and also Lagos State.
