Anambra cleanup makes way for Arinze's ordination

Abuja - The Anambra State Government has cancelled the monthly environmental sanitation exercise to enable citizens celebrate the ordination of Francis Cardinal Arinze.

“The Anambra State Government hereby informs residents of the state that the usual monthly of Saturday 28th November 2015 has been cancelled to enable Ndi Anambra and other people coming into Anambra participate in the 50 Years Episcopal Ordination Celebration of Francis Cardinal Arinze,” stated Uju Nwogu, Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism.

She said government however stated that the cancellation should not be misconstrued as an excuse for residents of the state particularly those in Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, Ekwulobia and Ihiala to abandon the regular clean up of their homes and surroundings.

“As a matter of fact, regular clean up of homes, offices and surroundings should be maintained at all times in order to assist government realize its objective of ensuring a clean and healthy Anambra state,” said Nwogu.
