Anambra - Some students in Anambra State have lauded the government of Willie Obiano for its commitment to empowering to youth.
The positive sentiments were given during a meeting between Governor Obiano’s spokesperson, Ifeanyi Aniagoh, and some student community bloggers from the state.
Speaking in Awka on behalf of the student bloggers, Kachikwu Kachikwu said Obiano had unprecedentedly changed the face of Anambra in the past two years, having been at the helm since March 2014.
“He has turned Awka to an emerging mega city. He has given us a safer environment to study,” said Kachikwu.
He expressed the youth’s support to Obiano’s administration.
“We are more than ever willing to lend our support to the government and use our various platforms to highlight the great changes in the new Anambra under Chief Willie Obiano,” said Kachikwu.

Aniagoh restated government’s commitment to the upliftment of the lives of youth.
“Your visit is dear to me; it confirms the widely held opinion that this administration is the most youth friendly government in our dear country,”
“Government has not only engaged thousands of youths through its people oriented programmes like Daily Sweepers, Road Maintenance and Traffic Management Agencies, but also has over 40 percent youths in its team,” he added.
Aniago said the state government had created thousands of jobs through direct investments, indirect employment windows and skill development programmes.
“It gladdens my heart to see young people like you and I taking part in the democratization process. Kudos to the action governor, Willie Obiano,” Aniagoh added.
