Lokoja - Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State was on Friday attacked by some aggrieved residents of the state, reports NewsDay.
The mob stoned the governor as he emerged from a mosque where he observed Jumat prayer in Lokoja, the state capital.
They also pelted the governor with rotten fruits and vegetables
The aggrieved residents, who carried few placards chanted anti-government slogans.
The police later dispersed the crowd with teargas.
The Peoples Democratic Party youth frontier tweeted about the attack some minutes after the incident.
This is the second time in two weeks the governor would be so attacked as complaints mount about the depreciating living conditions in the state.
