APC Governors write Buhari over ambassadorial nominees

01 November 2016, 15:07

Abuja - Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have formally comminucated in writing their grievances to President Muhammadu Buhari on the list of 46 non-career ambassadorial nominees recently forwarded to the Senate for approval, reports Daily Post

The governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom disclosed this on Tuesday shortly after meeting behind closed-doors with President Muhammadu Buhari.

The APC governors had presented their grievances to the President at a meeting last Monday during which he asked them to put their complaints in writing.

Ortom said they had written to the president on the issue. The governor also confirmed that President Buhari was currently attending to their grievances.

Ortom said “it is the prerogative of Mr. President to do appointments, but where there is need, we always give support.

“We have written where we have reservations, and it is being attended to.”
