Enugu - The All Progressive Congress (APC) has criticised the decision by the leadership of the Catholic Church, Enugu Parish to transfer the Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka from Christ the King Parish, Government Reserved Area, GRA, of the state to Our Lady Parish, Emene, a suburb of the state, Vanguard reports.
The fiery priest and Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry has presided over Christ the King Parish for 20 years but is expected to served under another priest at the Emene Parish.
Fr. Mbaka was affected in the routine transfer of over 1 000 priests in the Catholic Diocese of Enugu with effect from January 30.

The spokesperson of the South-East APC caucus, Osita Okechukwu said the the party has no problem with the routine transfer of priests by the church but it does not accept a situation where the transfers are influenced by external factors.
He said the party has watched with concern and trepidation the criticism, the attack, assault and unpleasant comments hurled against Fr. Mbaka since he prophesied that President Buhari would win the 2015 elections.
