Abuja - Troops of the 33 Brigade Nigerian
Army deployed at Forward Operation Base (FOB) have killed five suspected
kidnappers at Dutsen Makurd, Ningi Local Government Area in Bauchi State.
They were on patrol when they encountered the suspects.

According to Acting Director Army Public Relations Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, the suspected kidnappers opened fire on the troops that
led to exchange of gunfire.
The Army spokesman added that the patrol team recovered
three Dane guns and other dangerous weapons from the suspects.
Troops have been involved in operations in the
northern state of Bauchi, which is infested with militants and cattle rustlers.
